Dr. Imelda J.M. de Groot

Imelda de Groot is working as paediatric rehabilitation physician in Amalia childrens hospital, Radboud university medical centre. Her focus is on neuromuscular and neurodegenerative disorders including metabolic/mitochondrial disorders. She is leading the pediatric neuromuscular centre for dystrophinpathies. Next to her clinical work she is senior researcher and leading several studies concerning Training in paedatric neuromuscular disorders, Dysphagia in paediatric neuromuscular disorders, and Development of exoskeletons for neuromuscular disorders.

She is the principal instructor for rehabilitation medicine in Radboudumc and lecturer for academic and post-academic teaching.
